As an Account Executive at Silktide, you’ll be part of our early US sales team and central to our growth in the biggest market in the world.
You’ll work with a territory SDR who’ll fill your pipeline with qualified leads. You’ll demonstrate our web governance platform to prospects and help them on their way to improving the quality of their website. This includes building and maintaining relationships with our prospects and collecting feedback to help us improve our product and sales processes.
This role is open to sales people with 1+ years experience but whether you’re a junior candidate looking to learn and develop your skills, or someone with a few years experience hoping to progress their career there will be loads of space for creativity, autonomy, developing your skills, and putting your stamp on Silktide.
What you will be doing
You’ll be responsible for identifying potential customers in Canada through research, inbound leads, and outbound efforts that you will be collaborating with our team of SDR’s towards.
You will be expected to develop ongoing product knowledge and market awareness and act as a trusted advisor to the people you talk to.
Furthermore, you will:
- Be running virtual or occasionally in-person demos to showcase the software’s value and capabilities.
- Tailor presentations to address the specific needs of prospects.
- Manage multiple deals at different stages of the sales cycle
- Handle pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and objections.
- Securing agreements and closing deals to meet or exceed quotas.
You’ll be provided full training on all aspects of the business, our products, and you’ll learn a ton about accessibility, user experience, SEO, and more.
Where you will be working
We’re currently looking for an Austin-based resident for this hybrid-based role.
You will be working from our office in Austin city center at least 3 days per week.
You should join us if
- You are a US citizen or hold a legal work permit or Green Card, since Silktide does not sponsor work permits for this position
- You are fluent in English (bonus points if you speak French for parts of Canada)
- You are passionate, hungry, and eager to make a name for yourself
- You can convey complex information clearly
- You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You can take the initiative to identify and solve problems with urgency
- You have at least 1-3+ years of Sales experience and preferably as an Account Executive within a SaaS company
- You have a passion for technology
- You should be approachable and offer to help where needed
- You are comfortable making cold calls and writing quality email cadences
- You ideally have a valid passport (there is potential for travel for onsite customer meetings and work retreats!)
You should not join us if:
- For this role, we’re looking for team members who are comfortable combining self-sourcing with support from SDRs. If you prefer to rely exclusively on SDR efforts, this position may not align with your expectations
- You shy away from fast-paced environments
- You are worried about telling your boss they are wrong
- You need someone to tell you exactly what to do
- Conversations about money, budgets, or sales make you uncomfortable
