Why doesn’t Silktide publish a fixed price?
Silktide quotes for the scope your organization needs. A team monitoring one brand in one market has different requirements from an organization managing multiple websites and regions.
A tailored proposal lets you evaluate the relevant products, coverage, and services together. It also explains included allowances and any additional charges before you make a purchasing decision.
What is the difference between presence, governance, and analytics?
The three areas of Silktide address different parts of your digital presence:

- Governance tests website content, accessibility, user experience, and compliance requirements, helping teams prioritize and verify improvements.

What are the advantages of combining areas of Silktide?

Governance adds crawl-based page screenshots and automatically generated page names to analytics where coverage is available. Key pages identified in governance also appear together in analytics with their traffic.
Presence helps you understand visibility in AI answers, while analytics identifies visits referred by AI assistants and what those visitors do next. Recommendations from all three areas can feed into the same Silktide task board.
What is included in Governance?
Governance includes Content, Accessibility, User Experience, and Compliance. These four core areas are packaged together rather than sold as separate optional modules.
Capabilities include content-quality checks, broken-link detection, website and PDF accessibility testing, SEO and AEO content checks, organizational policies, and performance and uptime monitoring. AI reports help teams investigate patterns, prioritize work, and understand findings. Retesting verifies whether implemented fixes have resolved the issues.

Can our organization use Governance without AI?
Yes. Governance retains its testing, scoring, and reporting capabilities when AI providers are disabled.
Administrators control whether AI providers and agent capabilities are enabled. This allows your organization to use Governance’s core website-monitoring capabilities while deciding whether AI features meet your internal requirements. AI-generated analysis and recommendations require the relevant AI capabilities to be enabled.
Can administrators control how teams use Silktide AI?
Yes. Silktide administrators control enabled AI providers, agent access, and whether supported editing actions are permitted.
Users also need permission for the underlying action. Access to the AI agent does not automatically grant broader access to account information or administrative capabilities. These controls help organizations decide who can use AI to investigate findings, propose work, or perform supported actions within Silktide.
Does Analytics require Governance?
Analytics collects website activity through the Silktide Script; its data collection does not depend on a Governance crawl.
Some Analytics enhancements do require Governance on the account. These include page screenshots and automatically generated page names supplied by the crawl. Their availability depends on which pages Governance can access and has crawled.
Combining the products makes reports easier to interpret by connecting website activity with recognizable pages and visual context.
Does Silktide support cookie-free measurement?
Yes. Silktide offers cookie-free visitor measurement, alongside page-view-only and full analytics collection options. Organizations can configure collection separately before and after consent.
The chosen collection settings determine which reports are available. Page-view-only collection counts page views and events without identifying visitors, so it does not provide visitor counts, sessions, or visitor journeys. Your team should choose the settings appropriate to its reporting needs and consent requirements.
Will Silktide automatically change our website?
Creating or accepting a recommended task in Silktide does not change your website. Your team reviews the recommendation and implements the work through its normal website-management process.
Supported AI actions within Silktide are separate. For example, an authorized user may allow the agent to start a test or create a task. Those actions remain subject to administrator settings and the user’s account permissions.
Does Silktide support single sign-on and role-based access?
Yes. Silktide supports SAML single sign-on and role-based user permissions. These capabilities help organizations manage authentication and control access to websites and features.
Single sign-on setup requires coordination with your IT team. Availability depends on your service arrangement, so include your authentication and access-management requirements when requesting a proposal.
What security and accessibility documentation does Silktide provide?
Silktide publishes information about its SOC 2 Type II assurance and provides an Accessibility Conformance Report using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template, commonly called a VPAT.
These documents support security, accessibility, and procurement reviews. Ask for the latest documentation and confirm its product scope and reporting period against the products your organization is evaluating.
What onboarding, training, and support does Silktide offer?
Silktide offers onboarding, training, and Customer Success support, with arrangements determined by your service package.
Discuss the teams you need to onboard, the websites involved, and any implementation requirements when requesting pricing. Your proposal will confirm the support arrangements and identify any training, consultancy, or other services that are scoped separately.
What contract terms are available for Silktide?
Your Silktide proposal confirms the contract duration, payment terms, included coverage, usage allowances, and support arrangements.
Share any procurement requirements during the pricing discussion, including your purchasing timeline and the documentation needed for internal review. This helps your buying team assess the proposed scope and terms before committing.
