Video transcript
Visual:
The top portion of a wireframe globe in a mysterious dark space. Dotted lines rise from the surface and end at what look like apps. The apps have icons like a shopping cart with a dollar sign, a www dot, a video player, a speech bubble, and anonymous user profiles.

Jessica, voice over:
Imagine the internet as a vast, magical kingdom filled with countless treasures, adventures and stories.

Visual:
Suddenly the dark mysterious backdrop is washed out by a bluish-purple starry sky with two crescent moons. The apps shrink out of existence, and the once-wireframe globe has now magically transformed into purple terrain. Sprouting from this new world are various landmarks of the magical kingdom.
An imposing blue mountain pierces clouds right at the top, with silhouetted dragons gliding all around. Slightly further down to the east is a moated settlement with towering medieval structures. To the west is a forest of pink trunks and purple leaves. A single magnificent tree has punched through the center of the canopy of smaller trees. A witch stirs her cauldron just outside. Down the middle of the world is a toadstool village, each mushroom building with a white-spotted cap of purple and pinkish-red. To the far east is a knight on horseback, with a heart-encrusted shield, and their sword raised gallantly. Near the knight is the shoreline of the ocean. A red ship pulls in and bobs gently with the waves.
Voiceover:
But what if some adventurers couldn’t see the treasures right in front of them?

Visual:
We cut to a dark, blue room, occupied by a confused orc lady, wearing a leather vest with misaligned buttons, and an oversized battle-axe stamped to her back. She scratches her head, which has a blue mohawk dividing her scalp, ending with a ponytail. Her bright orange eyes are weighed on by her strong brow. Two large orc teeth protrude from behind her prominent lower lip.
Zooming out from the confused orc, we notice the dark blue room she’s in is clouded by a sparkling mist. In the middle of the room is a faded idol statue of a golden cat, with pegasus wings and a crown. A pink dotted outline highlights the statue for us the viewers, but the orc is unable to spot it.
Voiceover:
Others couldn’t open the chests they found.

Visual:
Transition to a purple forest, where a bespectacled dark-skinned elf wearing a traditional medieval bard outfit stands puzzled next to a treasure chest with no lock or switch. He kneels down to try lifting the lid open, to no avail, and with his back turned we see he is armed with a lute. The bard is then seen standing behind the chest with his arms cartoonishly stretched as he desperately pulls on the lid. We hear him struggle as sweat sprays from his head.
Voiceover:
Some found the maps confusing, and yet others found treasures locked behind barriers they couldn’t bypass, no matter what tools they tried.

Visual:
Another transition, to a bluish-green rocky area. There’s a light-skinned mage with short green hair, a blue robe, teal leggings with a knife sheathed at the thigh, black boots, and a corset with a crescent moon belt. She’s using her magic to hover a map in front of her, rotating it with hand gestures, while she frowns with a raised eyebrow. We zoom out and see near to her is a large light-skinned wizard with ginger curly hair and a beard. He’s wearing a bright red robe and a pointy wizard hat, while wielding a staff, which he uses to move a slab of rock out of his way, revealing a hidden cave. As the rock crashes down off-screen, the mage turns to the wizard with surprise, as he happily wanders into the cave. The mage blinks in astonishment.
The camera pans upwards into the clouds, where we see a black cat perched on a cloud, with a crown and wings, resembling the golden idol statue earlier. Next to the cat is a large golden vase, with a sticky note that reads: “Not for mortals!”

Voiceover:
The POUR principles ensure that this digital kingdom is built in such a way that every adventurer can experience its wonders fully.

Visual:
The cat looks side to side suspiciously, before knocking over the vase. A stream of mysterious liquid pours out of it, with streaks of cyan, blue, purple and pink. They wash down above the 4 adventurers: the orc, the mage, the bard, and the wizard, who look up in amazement. The letters that spell POUR hover above them also. We hear sparkles.
We fade to the next scene, which is a purplish-red night sky with distant clouds gently scrolling by. The word “Perceivable” appears in big letters, with a label that identifies the font as Verdana, a readable font.

Voiceover:
Perceivable.
The kingdom is filled with guides and signposts, making its wonders clear and vivid to every adventurer.

Visual:
The camera pans down. A rocky and lava-infested hellscape comes into view. Cracks in the ground give way to fire bursting from the depths of the land. Holes filled with lava span the scenery, with skeletons inside them, leaned up against the rims. Eventually we see the mage come into view, studying a wooden sign with painted letters that read: “Undead spa resort” along with a braille translation beneath. The skeletons all give a synchronized thumbs up.
Voiceover:
From shimmering landscapes to echoing melodies, to textures you can almost feel.

Visual:
We see the orc stand before a beautiful landscape of flowery hills, snow-capped mountains and a lush waterfall. Her eyes shimmer with amazement. Then she places her hands behind her pointed ears, as she closes her eyes to listen to the flute music flowing by. Finally, stars appear in her eyes and she reaches a hand forward, as she envisions a fluffy white Maine Coon cat with odd-colored eyes.
Voiceover:
The magic comes alive through all senses, ensuring no moment of wonder is out of reach, no matter how you explore.

Visual:
The scene with the orc transforms into a trendy young white woman riding a subway train. She’s holding her phone with one hand while another hangs onto a ceiling handle, keeping herself steady. She’s viewing the Maine Coon on her phone through a social media app playing video. It has captions that read: “Maine Coons are incredibly fluffy. Your hand will get lost in their fur!” The woman imagines the cat’s tail and is delighted at how soft and fluffy it is.
We fade to the next scene, with a title card that reads: “Operable. Readable font: Helvetica”.

Voiceover:
Operable.
Every door, chest, and scroll can be opened and used by everyone, whether they’re wielding a sword, a wand, or casting spells with their voice.

Visual:
We’re in a purple brick interior, with ancient columns and cobwebs. The bard stands before a bundle of sharp vines blocking a doorway. He plays a note on his lute, and the vines magically retract to clear the doorway. We pan to the side and see the wizard, tapping his staff against a treasure chest to open it. A white-spotted grey cat pops out from the pile of coins, to the wizard’s surprise. The camera eventually settles as it pans outside, where the mage is stood in an open space surrounded by trees and bushes. In front of her is a scroll on the ground. With a wide stance, she closes her eyes and summons an aura from the scroll, with strange runes floating before her, with a line at the top highlighted.
Voiceover:
It’s about making all the mechanisms and paths in the kingdom work for every adventurer out there.

Visual:
The scene transforms to an east-Asian woman running her fingers along a braille display, while we see the contents of her desktop monitor show a web browser. The webpage has a heading, with a black and white focus state around it, that reads: “Welcome to our courses page”. Beneath the text reads: “Here you can find an A to Z of all our academic opportunities.”
We now fade to a title card that reads “Understandable. Readable font: Tahoma”.

Voiceover:
Understandable.
Every riddle, map, and legend in the kingdom are explained in clear, simple language, making the mysteries and stories accessible to all.

Visual:
A grey-skinned old man with a droopy face, long hair and beard raises a crooked finger as he blathers on, literally saying blah blah blah over and over. He’s sitting cross-legged in a room of mystical trinkets, vines, and ornaments of crescent moons.
The four adventurers stand before him, completely bewildered. The orc scratches her head, the bard touches his chin thoughtfully, the wizard stares blankly, and the mage looks stunned.

The old man grumbles in annoyance, and hands them a map. We see it’s a crude map, resembling a children’s maze puzzle that’s already been completed, showing the starting point and the end point where treasure can be found, and warning a monster along the way. The map has a title: “The Wise Old Man’s, trademark, Quest Map”.
Voiceover:
Navigating the digital realm feels like following a well-told tale where every turn makes sense and every sign points clearly to the next chapter.

Visual:
The adventurers rush away from the old man with excitement. The orc raises her axe with determination as the bard continues reading from the map. They all cheer in unison, as the old man remains in the distance, unamused.
We fade into another title card that reads: “Robust. Readable font: Arial”.

Voiceover:
Robust.
The magic of the kingdom is crafted so well that it works with any tool or artifact adventurers bring with them.

Visual:
We see an old golden compass held by the orc. It’s very normal, except for the dragon-shaped pointer, wiggling slightly. The orc’s mouth is agape and her eyes are wide, as she points over in the direction of the dragon compass without looking.
We pan over that way to reveal the bard holding his lute in a defensive manner, as a large purple dragon with crocodile-like teeth looms over him, letting out a heavy exhale while it stares down the bard with yellow eyes. The orc is still staring at her compass.
Voiceover:
From the oldest compass to the newest crystal ball.

Visual:
It’s revealed that we were watching this unfold through a crystal ball, in an unknown location. The ball sits on a round table draped in a red cloth. On one side is a bright-green elf-like person with empty eye sockets, hovering their hands around the ball, with a big grin on their face. Opposite is the wizard, staring with wonder at the crystal ball’s imagery. The spotted cat he found earlier in the treasure chest appears from behind his shoulder, also looking with interest.
Voiceover:
This means no matter how technology evolves or what devices people use to explore, the magic still works perfectly, allowing everyone to partake in the kingdom’s adventures.
Visual:
The crystal ball shows the orc and bard riding atop the dragon happily.
A transition of colored streams: cyan, blue, purple, and pink, fills the screen.
Voiceover:
By weaving together the POUR principles, the digital kingdom becomes a place of endless exploration, where every adventurer is valued, and the wonders are limitless.

Visual:
The streams pull back to reveal the adventurers celebrating their find of the treasure room, with the bard and mage high-fiving in mid-air, the orc lifting the golden cat statue from the start high above her head triumphantly, and the purple dragon sitting proudly with a golden neck piece.
Voiceover:
It’s about building a world that doesn’t just open its gates to everyone, but also ensures that every path is navigable, every tale is understandable, and the magic never fades, no matter how the world outside changes.

Visual:
The screen wipes to a future point in time, where the adventurers, including the wizard’s new cat, are riding the back of the purple dragon, as it glides across the sky. Down below are clouds wizzing past, and the landscape below slowly goes by. A walled-off settlement, a large forest, a winding river, and lots of farmland are visible from this height.
Voiceover:
This is the essence of creating an accessible, inclusive digital world that welcomes all adventurers with open arms.

Visual:
Four different real-world scenarios cut in. One of the braille display user, one of the woman on the subway, one of a dark-skinned man using a desktop PC to fill out a website form, and another of a south-Asian teenage boy with wireless earphones interacting with a mobile screen device in bed while laying on his stomach.
The screen goes dark and the Silktide logo fades in.
