Why does the web matter?
We believe that the web is one of the most valuable technologies ever invented. It enables billions to learn, work, and communicate from anywhere in the world.
At least, it should. But too often the web falls short.
We’ve all had the experience of battling a bad website – maybe a passport application, or an online store – that seems almost designed to prevent you from using it.
For many, if you’re older, or have a disability, the web can be even worse: fundamentally inaccessible.
There’s tragic lost opportunity in the gap between good and bad websites. Website owners lose customers. Users are prevented from accomplishing their goals. Literally everyone loses, or wins, based on the quality of their website.
Almost every organization relies on the web.
Almost everyone’s mission is better served by a better web presence.
