Who the EAA applies to

The European Accessibility Act doesn’t just cover public sector websites—it applies to ecommerce, banking, transport, telecoms, e-books, and more. If you offer digital products or services in the EU, this law likely applies to you.

Based on data from the Silktide Index, over 99% of EU web pages still fall short of these accessibility standards. From June 28, 2025, new content must be accessible—so now’s the time to get ready.

Not based in the EU?

If your website, app, or digital service is used by people in the EU, the EAA may still apply—even if your company isn’t located there. The rules focus on where services are offered, not where they’re built.
