Transfer mechanism
No restricted transfer solely as a result of Google Cloud EMEA Limited processing that remains within the EEA. Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum apply where otherwise required for an international transfer

Google Cloud Vertex AI
Independent of your Hosting Region
Your AI Processing Region defaults to your Hosting Region, but an account administrator can choose a different AI Processing Region. This only affects AI processing and does not change your main Silktide Hosting Region.
This information may constitute Personal Data.
Google’s use of data
No model training
Google Cloud does not use Customer Data to train or fine-tune AI/ML models without the customer’s prior permission or instruction.
Data location
Silktide uses EU multi-region Vertex AI configuration for this AI Processing Region so that supported machine-learning processing occurs within the European Union.
Retention
Google Cloud may retain limited Customer Data for service operation, safety, abuse monitoring or enabled features in accordance with the applicable Vertex AI documentation and configuration.
Security
Google Cloud maintains technical and organisational measures under its Cloud Data Processing Addendum, including encryption, access controls, security monitoring and independently audited compliance controls.
