Independent of your Hosting Region
Your AI Processing Region defaults to your Hosting Region, but an account administrator can choose a different AI Processing Region. This only affects AI processing and does not change your main Silktide Hosting Region.

OpenAI’s use of data
No model training
OpenAI does not use inputs and outputs submitted through its API Platform to train or improve its general models by default unless a customer explicitly opts in to share data.
Retention
Except for certain endpoints and features, OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days to provide the service and identify abuse. Eligible API customers may request Zero Data Retention for supported usage.
Security
OpenAI encrypts business data at rest and in transit and maintains independently audited security and privacy controls. Its API Platform is covered by SOC 2 Type 2 and relevant ISO certifications.
